HOW IT STARTED
Katherine and Jesús met on Charlotte Street in London, sharing two glasses of wine before Katherine had to rush off to dinner – not because she was worried he might be strange, but simply because she often dines with friends. Over dinner, she told her friend she liked the man she’d just met, though with a cautious “we will see” about what might come next.
Before they parted that evening, Jesús promised to write before the weekend ended. And sure enough, Sunday night around 7pm, a message appeared on Katherine’s phone – from Jesús himself. He asked if she liked surprises for their next meeting, and from that moment on, they met again that Thursday, then Saturday, and Sunday too.
Six months later, they moved in together in a flat in Canary Wharf, where Katherine gave Jesús just enough time to stroke his ego before they eventually settled in Marylebone, where they now live. Jesús proposed at the Dorchester Hotel in London, a place filled with the memories of those no longer with us, yet forever in their hearts.
Now, two and a half years later, they share this day with their loved ones.
