Getting to A Coruña

There are direct flights from London to A Coruña.
Unfortunately, Santiago’s airport – Rosalía de Castro(about 1 hour from A Coruña) will be closed during May 2026, but you can fly directly to A Coruña – Alvedro (10 minutes away from de center) or Vigo- Peinador (about 2 hours away by car).

You can also travel with a stopover in Madrid or Barcelona, which offers many flights directly to A Coruña.

You can there is also a high-speed train (AVE) from Madrid to A Coruña.

There are several easy options to reach your hotel or accommodation

Taxi

Official taxis are available outside the arrivals hall. The ride to the main city centre usually takes 20–30 minutes depending on traffic and the city (Santiago or A Coruña). The fare is around €20–€25, plus an airport surcharge of about €3.60.

Car Rental

Several rental car companies have counters at the airport. Renting a car gives you freedom, especially if you’re exploring beyond A Coruña. Note: parking in the city can be challenging and sometimes expensive.

Speed Train

In case you fly to Madrid, there is also a high-speed train (AVE) from Madrid to A Coruña.
